Industrial House and Egyptian National Railways assembled a turnout on a 100% locally manufactured pre-stressed concrete sleeper.
Industrial House announced that, in cooperation with Egyptian National Railways, it successfully assembled a railway turnout on a 100% locally manufactured pre-stressed concrete sleeper.
The company said the local solution offers a longer service life, higher design speed and greater stability than the imported timber sleeper previously used in turnout assembly. Its Kom Abu Radi, Beni Suef factory supports railway development as well as high-speed and light-rail projects.
A railway engineering delegation visited the factory to inspect the initial assembly model. The company said it intends to double production capacity to meet demand and support rail development plans in Egypt and the surrounding region.
